Grateful for a new door in my life!

New book, new website, new blog! I am trying to be patient with myself as I maneuver through all of this unfamiliar territory. So many readers have told me that my book, Praying Through Pliés: Living With Lupus and Surviving an antibiotic called Levaquin, has changed their lives by bringing hope, inspiration, and motivation with its message. Their encouragement to "put it out there", and see what God does with it is the reason behind this website and this blog! Although I no longer have the physical (and sometimes mental) stamina to continue to work as a parish nurse, my hope is that if my book brings hope, healing, and inspiration to others, my parish nurse ministry can continue!

Great new post

First post - first website - first book! As I enter this new world, I am trying to be patient with myself as I learn my way around. My book, Praying Through Pliés, seems to taken on a life of its own. Many readers have told me that its message has brought hope and inspiration, that I am humbled. Originally intended for family and friends, I have decided to put it out there, and let God take it where He wants it to go! A parish nurse for many years, I had to resign myself to the fact that I could no longer be effective in this ministry because of the disabling effects caused by the antibiotic, levaquin. If my book brings some measure of healing and inspiration to others, my parish nurse ministry can continue!
